Aleppo

Bazar Al Chark:
Bazar al Chark was one of the biggest shops in Aleppo in the 40ies and 50ies. Built 3 centuries ago, it was the Ottoman governor of Aleppo's office. The basement was used as an ammunition warehouse. This warehouse was entirely renovated and superbly decorated. The restaurant offers the finest typical aleppian cuisine you do not find anywhere else and can accommodate up to 200 persons.

Dar Zamaria (Martini House):
A striking expression of the Aleppine architecture dating from the 17th century, situated in Jedaideh Quarter, where Aleppo first printing-house was established in 1705.
To enter the house, you need first to pass through a narrow door, then just give a full rein to your heart and mind, and scrutinise by your own eyes the story like world coming into existence, as if one did touch a charming ring. The Iwan with its majestic arch and coloured floor, refined arabesque woodwork of the cupboard, the ceilings decoratively gilded with line of mystic poetry as well as Koran verses, rails, stairs, coloured arabesque glass windows, the stone-built cellars, are the mouthpiece of the Arabian architectural genius. The restaurant offers fine Aleppine cuisine in an outstanding environment.

Beit Wakil:
A true example of the distinguished 16th century Aleppine architecture, located in a charming neighbourhood outside the old city walls. As soon as one enters inside a magical oriental story-like world comes into existence: the beautiful courtyards with breathtaking relief and tracery work of its walls, the marble fountains among the jasmine and lemon trees, the unique Liwan with its majestic arch and coloured marble flooring.... The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Aleppine mezzes and oriental dishes.

Sissi House:
A superb residence of the XVII century has become one of Syria's finest restaurants. Located in a beautiful narrow street, in the heart of the old Christian part of Aleppo. In its magnificent architecture, the restaurant is famous for its fine Armenian cuisine like "Toshka" (spiced meat with cheese served with toasted pita bread), “Zeitoun bi Zaatar” (green olive salad with thyme), “Makmour” (oiled cooked eggplant and tomatoes).
